Bruce K. Lawes is a young gifted Canadian artist residing in Toronto.
Although a former student of the Ontario College of Art, Bruce's creative talents have been honed by personal encounters with fellow artists such as, Robert Bateman, and American ocean artist Wyland.
An avid world traveler, Bruce believes in getting up close with his subjects. Lawes' philosophy: "An artist who paints our natural world must continually experience all its wonders before he can truly capture it on canvas.
The unique knowledge Bruce has acquired over his lifetime is exemplified within his work. His paintings portray more than a moment in time - they transport you right to the location where he sat sketching and connecting with the wildlife. Some of his favourite spots are the Florida Everglades, Kilarney, the French River, Muskoka, and Algonquin Park.
Bruce Lawes is an internationally collected artist who has been showcased in exhibitions in New York and Chicago.
